So much of life is a big gamble. Right? You never know when you get in your
car and go out for the day whether some drunk idiot is going unconsciously to
aim his or her vehicle right at you. Or, maybe the car coming at you just has a
blowout and that causes the car to come hurtling into your lane. I read the other
day that a person stands more of a chance contracting a deadly disease in a
hospital than out of one. Going into a hospital is taking a chance. That's not very
encouraging! In a way, I suppose, we are all gamblers. But I don't consciously
think of myself as one.
As best as I can see it right now, gambling is a way of getting nothing for
something.
