Dear Folks -
The title of the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week was -
The Divine Invasion
I repeated, because I thought it was important to do so, a smidgen of the material I offered in last week’s talk - the definition of a mystic, a passage from Thomas Merton and the spiritual work involved in growing in our awareness that we safely reside in the Heart of Sacred Mystery. This week’s talk was about the desire Sacred Mystery has to find expression through who we are and how we live our lives.
If our religious rituals and spiritual practices are going to lead us into the arena of true transformation, there are at least two things we must embrace: First, an awareness of the dangers of fundamentalism on all levels and in all areas. Second, an embracing of the mystical path. This talk elaborates on each of these and ends with an “existential story” about how we can’t take anything that matters to us into “the kingdom of God.” Though I tried to capture the “existential story” in words, the audio version is best.
That’s a brief summary of the talk.

Be well and much love,
