Dear Folks -

This week the title of my talk was

“Embracing an Evidential and Evolutionary Spirituality”

As I seek to explore how we can consciously construct a spiritual understanding of our lives and living using specific religious language, one of the first things we encounter is the matter of “religious beliefs.” Why do people believe what they do? Several things have helped in the construction of religious beliefs: revelation, tradition, authority, experience and evidence. Religion has a tendency to “nail things down.” The nature of our cosmos, however, is that everything is evolving. How is our understanding of “religious truth” affected by this?

That is a very brief summary or the talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week.
