WEEKLY PODCAST | In Between.055

It was so good to see those of you who came in person, and such a feeling of connection knowing that others of you are with us virtually. Together we form a visible and invisible connective tissue.

In these upcoming weeks, we will lean into paradox: (noun) a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true.

Absurd but true. It might sound like, “The whole universe is contained within the mustard seed.” Or in the words of Meister Eckhart, “If you seek God only in one thing, you’ll find him in no thing.” We accept absurd things as true all the time (like the infinite universe), and the human imagination is capable of such incredible beauty and ingenuity. I wonder if we can use our imaginations to heal our relationships to each other and to the earth?

To get to the heart of “being human” our sight needs to be both telescopic and microscopic, inward and outward. I hope these conversations and teachings enlarge your sight and contribute to how you see. I hope they provide continuity amidst uncertainty and instability.

Notes: Meditations read from Meister Eckhart’s Book of Secrets. We both recommend this book to add to your repertoire of inspiration for your daily spiritual practice.
