What are the "clues and evidence" that mark the lives of people who have found a "treasure hidden in a field"? Among other things, they are marked by peace, love, joy, humility and patience. They are free from the claims of projections and transferences. Holly Hudley shares her search for the meaning of the pearl in the parable we are using as our launching pad for this talk. Eventually it led her to Nathaniel Hawthorne's book, "The Scarlet Letter" where Hester Prynne named her daughter "Pearl." Wisdom knows that we are both that which is searching and we are the treasure found. As important as it is to get the correct answer to the question "Have you found Jesus?" it is even more important to deal with the question, "Has Jesus found you?" I end the an ancient legend about Jesus waiting for Judas in heaven.
