Summary of Ordinary Life for January 8, 2023

Dear Ones -

Frankly, I’m at a loss for words. I don’t know how to “summarize” our experience with Jan Phillips this past weekend. Those who spent time with her on Saturday and, then, during the Ordinary Life hour on Sunday will know of my dilemma.

Jan spent Saturday reminding us of our power and potential as agents of and for change in both our personal lives and in our communities. My interest and attention never faded or wavered during her presentation(s). The evaluation forms we got back were all extremely positive.

She was clear, honest, open. These are the qualities of a good spiritual teacher. She had an excellent sense of presence which, I believe, empowered those who were open to be more present to Presence. The time was also a time when we got to connect more and better with each other. Table talk was very valuable and productive. Some of us came away in touch with a “creative poet” within us that we didn’t know existed.

There is no text of her presentation and no presentation slides to share. There are video and audio versions available. You can find these on the Ordinary Life website.

Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this event a reality.
