Dear Folks -

The word “recognize” mean “to see something again that we have seen or known before.” Sometimes this “seeing again” is as if we were seeing something for the first time. Or, seeing it in a new and/or different way. One word the Buddhists have for this way of seeing things is “beginner’s mind.”

The talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week is based on one of the richest sayings in the Gospel of Thomas. I gave the talk this title -

“Recognizing Sacred Mystery"
