Dear Folks -

This week in Ordinary Life I gave a talk which I titled -

Taking a Different Direction in Returning to The One Who Made Us Who We Are

I began with a brief review of the past three talks I’ve given and some refresher information about the Gospel of Thomas. Though the Gospel of Thomas is part of the most significant biblical discovery of the past sixty years few people, relatively speaking, have heard about it or know anything about it. Since I have been and will continue to base my teachings on passages taken from it, I thought it might be helpful to have this information again.

Doing “business as usual” when it comes to religious and spiritual work isn’t transforming our world. Though there are hopeful and vital signs, and Ordinary Life would be one of them, we must nonetheless stay vigilant and so our own work. Carl Jung said that the hope of the future of the world was in “enough people doing their own work.” This involves doing something that is contrary to the prevailing culture.

The talk will likely make more sense if listened to and certainly the presentation slides that contain the cartoons and art work referred to are an integral part of the talk.

You’ll find the text of the talk, the presentation slides and audio version by using the links below.

It was good to be back teaching. I value each and every one of you more than I can say.

Be well and much love,

Bill Kerley
