Dear Folks -

I have two main things I want to do in the talks I offer in Ordinary Life:

First, to contribute to religious literacy. Second, to contribute to our psychological and spiritual growth.

In the text below you will read my conviction that our growth in these matters goes forward on two paths simultaneously. As we go deeper into the mystery of who we are and as we go deeper into the mystery of the Sacred, we grow. I believe, and the great spiritual teachers demonstrate this, that if we travel these two paths far enough (“deep enough” is more accurate), we will see that they are the same.

The talk I offered in Ordinary Life this week is about predictions regarding the “end of the world.” This topic has fascinated humans from the beginning - at least, that is what recorded history reflects.

I begin this talk with why is it that people believe weird stuff to begin with and then end with what does “the end” mean in the context of the religious and spiritual work we are attempting.

Be well!

Much love,
