Dear Ones -
Wow! And, Much gratitude!
The “Wow!” is for the presentation that the Rev. Barbara Robberson made in Ordinary Life this week. She told the story of her own personal journey and how it fits with our theme of making sacred the already-sacred journey. It was an outstanding presentation and before the day was over I had gotten many expressions from others who expressed similar responses.
The “gratitude” is about several things: First, of course, was Barbara’s willingness to take on speaking to the class on relatively short notice. “Thank you!” - and, gratitude - for the technology that will allow those who didn’t get to see or hear her to listen or watch later.
Barbara’s background is in medical research and along the way of pursuing that career, she met some amazing folks. She also, while teaching in a pre-school, had someone tell her that she had the “grace and gifts” of ministry. Her journey unfolds from then until now with one bit of “entanglement” after another. Her’s is a stunning, amazing, and grace filled journey. I’m glad that we have it recorded for those who heard her to savor the experience again and for those of you who didn’t to experience it.
